Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Independence, OH is hiring a Hospice Aide (STNA required) to support the Hospice Care Center and field staff. You will provide patient-centered care across homes and facilities, focusing on comfort, dignity and quality of life for patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• STNA certification is required by Ohio Nurse’s Aide Registry
• One year of clinical experience as an aide preferred
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and adequate auto insurance
• BLS certification within orientation period

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities
• Assist with procedures ordered by physician under supervision
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and transfers
• Report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Keep patient environment clean and orderly
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of patient care
• Escalate changes in patient condition to physician as appropriate

Education

State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) Certification
