Job summary

Devotion Hospice is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide (HHA) for the Enid, OK area. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision and assist with transfers, nutrition, and personal care within the patient’s home or residence.

The role emphasizes infection control, accurate reporting of changes, compassionate communication with patients and families, and adherence to the agency's policies to ensure quality care and safety for all patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Current CNA/HHA & LTC certifications
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid Auto Insurance
• CPR Certification
• HomeCare HomeBase experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients under the direction of the RN and according to the Aid Plan of Care.
• Assist with safe transfers and ambulation per agency policy.
• Report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to ensure continuity of care.
• Practice infection control principles to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Promote positive, respectful communication with patient/family and staff.
• Respect privacy and property of patients.
• Assist with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
• Demonstrate effective time management and support efficient agency operations.
• Perform treatments and procedures per agency policy.
• Support the agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality care.
