Job summary

Abound Health is hiring a compassionate Home-Based Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Nazareth, PA area. This full-time role provides one-on-one support in the home and community to help build independence, social engagement, daily living skills, and personal goals.

The DSP will follow support plans, document progress, and participate in ongoing training, with pay at $19.50 per hour and a $1,000 signing bonus.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Valid driver's license and active car insurance
• Comfortable providing transportation in the community
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist with tasks impacted by physical limitations if needed

• Support community participation and social skill development
• Assist with cooking, meal planning, and healthy living skills
• Help develop budgeting and money-management skills
• Support household management and independent living skills
• Assist with employment exploration and job-readiness goals
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings
