A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and ensuring outstanding guest service and profitability.

What will I be doing?

  • Greet guests, complete registration, input and retrieve information from the computer, confirm guest info and room rate, select rooms, code electronic keys, promote marketing programs, provide welcome packets, and assist with room location or bell services.
  • Assist with check-out, ensure accurate billing, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, accept various forms of payment, convert foreign currency, and process gift certificates and cards.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel offerings, room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area, and answer guest inquiries.
  • Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize occupancy.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and requests, resolve issues, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Receive, relay messages, and handle guest complaints by conducting research and resolving issues.
