Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Detroit is seeking a Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team. This role blends hands-on warehousing with mentoring program beneficiaries in work therapy development.

You will help maintain an organized warehouse, support rehabilitation efforts, and drive a forklift while adhering to safety protocols. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, pay rate $18-$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently
• High School Diploma preferred
• Warehouse experience beneficial
• Customer service experience helpful

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines
• Track production numbers and complete reports
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately
• Collect and track donor information
• Process various types of donations including clothing and accessories, household items, electronics, furniture and antiques, jewelry and collectibles

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments
• Price merchandise according to guidelines

Donation Processing

• Assist donors with donation drop-offs
• Complete donation receipts accurately

Equipment Operation May be trained to operate:

• Baler

Qualifications
