Job summary

The Salvation Army is hiring a Warehouse Worker at its Detroit facility to support warehouse operations and donation processing. The role involves handling products, pricing, reporting, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace as you assist donors and process various donation types.

In addition to forklift and equipment operation, you will mentor program beneficiaries and contribute to a productive, mission-driven team environment. Pay ranges from $18 to $23 per hour, full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Warehouse experience beneficial.
• Customer service experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products to correct departments.
• Price merchandise according to guidelines.
• Track production numbers and complete reports.
• Maintain organized work areas and clean environment.
• Operate warehouse equipment as trained.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist donors with donation drop-offs.
• Complete donation receipts accurately.
• Collect and track donor information.
• Process various types of donations including clothing and accessories, household items, electronics, furniture and antiques, jewelry and collectibles.
• Baler, Compactor, Forklift, Elevator and other warehouse equipment may be trained to operate.
