Job summary

Mercantile Bank is seeking a Full Time Float Teller to deliver exceptional customer service and process a range of transactions at our Alma Northtown office, with coverage across Vestaburg, Shepherd, Merrill, St. Charles, Ithaca, Lansing, St. Johns and Alma markets.

In this onsite role you will balance cash drawers, promote cross-sell opportunities, assist customers with inquiries, and refer complex needs to the appropriate team while adhering to bank policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent cash handling and data entry accuracy.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing) and balances cash drawer daily.
• Promotes customer relationships and cross-sell opportunities using Mercantile's CRM (360 View).
• Answer the telephone and direct inquiries to appropriate bank personnel.
• Adheres to bank policies and federal regulations; supports community-focused service.
