Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring Full-time Flex Houseparents—a unique, life-changing role for married couples who will care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Couples live on campus and follow a nine-on, three-off schedule, supporting student wellbeing, routines, and development.

Responsibilities include supervision, scheduling, medication administration, transportation, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, with a path to a placed houseparent role and full benefits

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and actively engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
