Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples live in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students.

Responsibilities include supervising students daily, organizing routines, administering medications, transporting and engaging in activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule and leads to a placed houseparent position.

Qualifications

• Experience with youth expected.
• Two-person role for married couples for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required and ability to obtain van driving certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
