Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on our on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA. The role provides daily supervision, mentorship, and structured, family-like care for groups of 8–13 students.

You will manage routines, supervise activities, and support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. The position requires a two-person, legally married couple, both aged 27 or older, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-year married couple required.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
