Job summary

Milton Hershey School (MHS) in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care and mentorship to 8–13 students, and help create a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development.

The role requires a two-person partnership, with both spouses at least 27 years old, a high school diploma or GED, and a willingness to follow a rotating schedule and drive student

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver''s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
• Rotational schedule: nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent role.
