Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeksFull-time Flex Houseparents to live on campus in student homes and guide a group of 8-13 students. This two-person role requires a legally married couple with at least two years of marriage, ages 27+, and a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities include supervision, scheduling, transport, devotions, and budget reporting, with a nine-on/nine-off work cycle initially, leading to a placed houseparent assignment.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Campus is smoke-free and weapon-free; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development/recreational planning.
• Lead daily devotions and chapel attendance.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
• Initially support various student homes with a nine-on, three-off schedule.
• Transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group.
