Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks full-time Flex Houseparents (a married couple) to live in on-campus student homes and guide groups of 8–13 students. You will supervise daily routines, mentor students, drive to activities, and lead devotions in a family‑like setting.

This is a two-person, married role requiring dedication and responsibility. Couples receive housing, meals on duty, utilities, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, plus relocation

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person, married-for-at-least-two-years requirement
• Both spouses aged 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children in the home
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Pet restrictions: only fish and one dog of approved breeds
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans
• Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff serve as role models

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
