Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Porter to perform cleaning and maintenance across indoor/outdoor spaces at a Boca Raton community. You will inspect work, report to the Supervisor and adapt to varied indoor/outdoor duties.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, safety awareness, and a customer-focused approach. Full-time schedule is Tue–Sat, with Sun & Mon off; benefits include medical, dental, vision, time off, holidays, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains all cleaning solutions per OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Operates new equipment safely and follows procedures.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Keeps sanitary and cleaning supplies stocked for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Adheres to security procedures at all times.
• Maintains relations with building staff.
• Finishes and burnishes floors as required.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Cleans restrooms when applicable: floors, dispensers, toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, trash.
