Job summary

FirstService Residential in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Porter to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks across indoor and outdoor areas. The role involves inspecting work, reporting to the Supervisor, and supporting building operations while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Schedule is Tue-Sat, 8:30am–5pm, with Sundays and Mondays off. You will learn to handle cleaning equipment, follow OSHA guidelines for chemicals, and maintain supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning/maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, light bulb replacement and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA guidelines for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Operates new equipment safely and follows procedures.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Maintains sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas.
• Inspects areas daily and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
• Ensures security procedures are followed at all times.
• Keeps good working relationship with building staff.
• Finishes and burnishes floors as required.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Cleans restrooms and replenishes disposables where applicable.
