Job summary

Walmart Roanoke, AL location is seeking a maintenance professional to perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment, inspect and repair systems, and manage parts orders and work orders. You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

Responsibilities include operating heavy machinery, documenting maintenance activities, and upholding Walmart standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures; documents wear and tear.
• Orders parts and replacement equipment; tracks orders and submits warranty claims.
• Operates heavy machinery and coordinates with contractors; manages work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, safety standards, and Walmart policies.
