Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring entry-level and skilled Trimmers and Climbers to join our outdoor line clearance teams in Huntington, WV. On-the-job training is provided to build a solid career in tree trimming and bucket work.

Our crews work in all weather, trimming, toping, and shaping trees to ensure clearance for powerlines. The role requires physical stamina and a willingness to work at heights, with a competitive hourly pay and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment or material.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor job-related damage to lawns, fences, and walkways.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and the public.
• Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue.
• Assists in training new employees.
