Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring entry-level and skilled trimmers and climbers in Logan, West Virginia. On-the-job training is provided, and you’ll work outdoors trimming, topping, and reshaping trees to clear powerlines.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits, including health insurance, a retirement plan, employee assistance program, and disability cover. You’ll operate tools, follow safety protocols, and assist training new employees.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights under demanding conditions; while handling equipment or material.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Loads/unloads trucks; feeds brush & debris into a woodchipper.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers to protect employees and the public.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Maintains good housekeeping on trucks and at work locations.
