Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring entry-level and skilled Trimmers and Climbers in West Virginia. On-the-job training is provided to build a career in the line clearance field.

Enjoy outdoor work in all weather conditions as crews trim, top, and reshape trees to protect powerlines while supporting a nationwide utility contracting team. This full-time, non-exempt role offers competitive hourly wages based on experience, along with a company retirement plan, health coverage, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
• Willing to travel for storm emergencies if needed.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or works from the ground using gasoline, air, and hand-powered saws, pruner, etc.
• Operates chainsaws, woodchippers and other tools to fell trees or trim trunks.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct work; maintain safety and customer relations.
• Loads/unloads trucks and maintains equipment; assist in training new employees.
