Canteen, a service brand of Compass Group USA, is hiring for a full-time Mechanic I in Allentown, PA. The role operates and maintains HVAC, boilers, generators, and steam equipment, with routine checks and meter readings.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with on-site work. Minimum requirements: none prior experience required; Type I Refrigeration Certification and a valid Non-CDL Class C license are needed.

Qualifications

• Type I Refrigeration Certification and a valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains equipment including HVAC systems, high-pressure boilers, generators and steam equipment.
• Reads and records information from meters and gauges to verify operating conditions.
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company vehicle.
• Inspects parts for wear or defects, replaces worn parts and tests machine operation after repair.
• Maintains inventory and orders parts, ships and receives machines and equipment.
