Penn State is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Technician - Grade 6 to join the team. Responsibilities include responding to medical emergencies, assessing patients, and delivering emergency care on scene and during transport within EMT standards.

Required certifications include PA EMT, CPR, EMSVO, and a valid Driver's License; ICS 100/200/700 and HAZMAT Awareness Training within 30 days. This role supports campus health and safety with rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania EMT certification and CPR certification.
• Current EMS Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) certification and valid driver's license.
• Respiratory mask fit testing and ability to wear respirator.
• Completion of ICS 100, 200, and 700 within 30 days of hire and HAZMAT Awareness Training.
• 6–12 months of 911 experience and 1,040 hours of prior 911 experience.

Responsabilités

• Respond to medical emergencies based on dispatch information.
• Assess patients and determine illness or injury extent; provide on-scene aid.
• Operate and monitor EMS equipment, including AED, oxygen, and backboard.
• Transport patients and communicate with dispatch and facilities.
• Complete EMS charts within 24 hours and perform required documentation.
