The Salvation Army is seeking a full-time Caseworker in Independence, MO to interview, evaluate, and assist clients seeking emergency aid. You will screen potential clients, pre-qualify needs, refer to agencies, and help complete applications while maintaining accurate financial records.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least two years of college in human services (bachelor’s preferred), and completion of The Salvation Army’s Caseworker Certification within 90 days.

Qualificações

• High School diploma required; two years of college in Human Services preferred.
• Experience with low income/minority populations desired.
• Must complete Caseworker Certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Answer calls and greet visitors for emergency assistance.
• Screen and pre-qualify requests for emergency aid.
• Assist clients with completing applications for emergency assistance and related programs.
• Maintain and track funds and prepare required FEMA/TAF records.
• Coordinate with community agencies and POH for client support.
