Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated caseworker to interview and assist clients seeking emergency aid. You will pre-qualify requests, coordinate referrals, and help complete applications for emergency assistance and related programs.

Responsibilities include maintaining financial records, processing FEMA files, and preparing monthly transaction reports while working with the Corps Officer and community partners to support families toward self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Requires interpersonal relations skills and respectful communication.
• Ability to document and report accurately in writing.
• Must be able to work with diverse populations and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls and visitors to The Salvation Army.
• Screen clients for emergency assistance needs and determine eligibility.
• Assist with completing applications for emergency assistance and related programs.
• Maintain financial records and track funds with spreadsheets and reporting systems.
• Prepare FEMA files and monthly statistical reports as required.
