The Salvation Army in Independence, MO is seeking a dedicated aide to assist clients with emergency needs. You will interview and evaluate requests, pre-qualify eligibility, and help complete applications for aid and commodities.

You will track funds, prepare FEMA files, and coordinate with partner agencies to connect clients to POH and other services. This role emphasizes compassion and accurate documentation.

Qualificações

• High school diploma required; two years college in human services preferred.
• Combination of training, education, and experience may be considered.
• Must complete The Salvation Army Caseworker Certification within 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Receive calls and visitors for emergency assistance at The Salvation Army.
• Screen clients for immediate emergency needs and preliminarily qualify requests.
• Assist clients with applications for emergency aid and related programs.
• Maintain funds tracking in spreadsheets and input to MAAC Link.
• Prepare FEMA files and submit monthly transaction reports.
• Develop relationships with community agencies and refer clients to POH.
