Job summary

Ralph C. Mahar Regional School District in Orange, MA, seeks a Full-Time Interventionist for the 2026–2027 school year.

The teacher will deliver targeted literacy and/or math interventions to small groups, guided by assessment data to accelerate learning and improve outcomes. Collaborating with general education, special education, and administrators, the Interventionist will maintain records, participate in planning meetings, communicate with families, and contribute to a positive, inclusive

Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE licensure as an Elementary Teacher (PreK–2 and/or Grades 1–6).
• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based literacy and/or mathematics interventions.
• Experience using student assessment data to inform instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted, research-based interventions to individual students and small groups.
• Utilize assessment data to identify student needs, monitor progress, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administrators to support student achievement.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention data.
• Participate in student support meetings, MTSS/RTI meetings, and other collaborative planning opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, as appropriate.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
