General Purpose
The dietary aide's assignments are determined based on the activity of the shift and needs. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read technical procedures and follow recipes; effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
Must obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Requires standing/walking frequently, sitting occasionally, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking/hearing, tasting/smelling frequently, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Vision must include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus.
