Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in New Mexico to support dialysis treatments and the care team.

The full-time role includes four 10-hour shifts starting at 4am, with Sundays off and no overnight shifts. The position offers paid 12-week training, comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits, life and long-term disability insurance, PTO, ESB, and a retirement plan with employer matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
