Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is hiring Patient Care Technicians to support our nonprofit mission of patient-centered care for end-stage renal disease. You will assist during dialysis treatments, monitor vital signs, and work under RN supervision in a collaborative team setting.

This full-time role offers three 12-hour shifts starting at 5am, Sundays off, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision, PTO, retirement matching, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
