Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support our dialysis team in providing high-quality care for end-stage renal disease patients. The role includes working with RN supervision, setting up dialysis equipment, monitoring patients, and adhering to infection control standards.

Full-time schedule features three 12-hour shifts starting at 4:30am, Sundays off, and paid 12-week training with a preceptor. Comprehensive benefits and retirement plans are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred but not required.
• CNA/EMT/medical assistant/CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Operate under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist in calculating patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Maintain patient privacy and professional relationships; manage inventory.
• Perform laboratory work as needed.
