The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH Teacher) to join our full-time school-based team in Albany, GA. You will provide specialized instruction to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, fostering communication development and helping them achieve academic success in an inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Valid Georgia teaching certification with Deaf or Hard of Hearing endorsement.
• Knowledge of hearing loss, communication methods, and DHH education strategies.
• Experience with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
• ASL proficiency preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialized instruction to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students per IEP goals.
• Assess student performance and monitor development.
• Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goals and progress reports.
• Support language acquisition, literacy, self-advocacy, and communication skills.
• Consult with families and school staff on accommodations and best practices.
• Maintain documentation and comply with guidelines.
