The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH Teacher) to join our full-time school-based team in Albany, GA. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Valid Georgia teaching certification with Deaf or Hard of Hearing endorsement.
• Knowledge of hearing loss, communication methods, and DHH education strategies.
• Experience with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
• ASL proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students per IEP goals.
• Assess student performance and monitor development.
• Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goals and progress reports.
• Support language acquisition, literacy, self-advocacy, and communication skills.
• Consult with families and school staff on accommodations and best practices.
• Maintain documentation and comply with guidelines.

Qualificationsac

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Valid Georgia teaching certification with Deaf or Hard of Hearing endorsement
• Knowledge of hearing loss, communication methods, and educational strategies for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency preferred
