Job summary

Centurion is the provider of dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections. We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at CFRC - Central Florida Reception Center in Orlando, FL.

The role works under the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Core duties include preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining the operatory, operating radiographic equipment and handling administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or 6 months experience.
• Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one.
• Expanded duty dental assistant certification preferred; if not present, must obtain in first year.
• Certification and/or prior experience performing dental x-rays preferred.
• Must show/obtain PPD tuberculosis documentation.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
