Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Ability to count, separate and weigh deli products.

Responsibilities

• Slice, weigh, package and label deli meats and cheeses per customer request.
• Assist customers with all orders and questions about products in the deli; provide samples as needed.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Operate slicers and authorized equipment according to policies and safety guidelines.
• Handle, stock, prepare and display all deli products properly.
• Maintain neat personal appearance and observe grooming standards.
• Know store layout to help customers locate products.
• Understand quality standards, prices and preparation methods of deli products.
• Handle damaged/spoiled products per guidelines and help control waste.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies; comply with weights and measures laws.
• Report safety or equipment issues to management; assist in training associates.
