Job summary

Abilities First, Inc. is seeking a full-time Assistant Coordinator for Day Habilitation Program sites located in Poughkeepsie.

You will assist the Coordinator in daily coordination, oversight, and documentation of each individual’s program plan. The role requires a year of experience with the developmentally disabled or supervisory experience, an Associate’s Degree in human services (preferred), and a NYS driver’s license with relevant certifications (SCIP, Medication Administration, CPR, SFA)

Qualifications

• One‑year experience working with the developmentally disabled population and/or supervisory experience.
• Associate’s Degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have a NYS driver’s license.
• Current SCIP R, Medication Administration, CPR, and SFA certifications, or ability to achieve certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Coordinator in daily coordination and oversight of the Day Habilitation sites.
• Document each individual’s program plan and monthly notes; ensure accuracy.
• Ensure delivery of quality services and safety; uphold agency standards.
• Provide leadership, guidance and training to staff; step in for Coordinator as needed.
• May perform personal care tasks and transport individuals as required.
