Job summary

FLIK Independent School Dining at Heathwood Hall in Columbia, SC is seeking a full-time COOK to join our dining program. You will prepare high-quality meals following standardized recipes, maintain safety and HACCP standards, and ensure meals are served at proper temperatures.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a pay range of $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Previous cooking experience is required, and online applications are accepted only.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required.
• Must be able to follow standardized recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and maintaining proper serving temperatures.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains high standards of cleanliness.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; stores items per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance or accidents to supervisor.
