Job summary

FLIK Independent School Dining at Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill, MA is hiring a full-time COOK to prepare meals for students and staff.

You will follow standardized recipes, monitor temperatures, and ensure quality while working a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. This role requires prior prep and large-scale production experience and offers benefits within a national school dining program.

Qualifications

• Previous prep and large food production experience required.
• Full-time schedule Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 3:30 pm.
• Must meet food safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and attractive.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers.
