Job description

Summary:

Helps foster a positive work environment that inspires, motivates, challenges, supports, and provides ongoing recognition for exceptional performance. Customer Service Advisors (CSAs) are responsible for delivering excellent customer service, identifying sales opportunities, and performing account transactions. They must be responsive to the immediate needs of the Banking Center and proactively support Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and sales efforts. CSAs focus on relationship building with consumers and businesses, emphasizing daily sales initiatives. They are also responsible for complying with all Bank policies, procedures, and security measures. Their duties include operating as a CSR and supporting the banking center's sales and operational objectives.

Location:

This position is 100% in-office, based in a designated WesBanco location. The primary location is Arlington, OH, with travel to Findlay locations in Carey, Fostoria, McComb, and Ottawa.

Essential Functions:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Model the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Pledge standards
  • Assess clients' financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Process all financial transactions accurately
  • Manage the CSR cash drawer, balancing and handling cash properly
  • Follow security and audit procedures
  • Meet and exceed sales goals for loans, deposits, referrals, and profitability
  • Promote a sales culture and achieve individual and team sales targets
  • Collaborate effectively with staff and peers to meet goals
  • Monitor performance and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Conduct outbound calls to promote bank products and referrals
  • Educate customers on financial wellness opportunities
  • Prioritize and implement sales and service activities
  • Promote bank products in the community to support growth
  • Support daily operations, including opening/closing, vault duties, cash control, and compliance
  • Participate in sales and staff meetings regularly
  • Provide customer service on banking matters and resolve issues professionally
  • Build relationships with internal partners and seek feedback
  • Exercise sound judgment within established guidelines
  • Maintain security controls to prevent fraud and risks
  • Keep sensitive information confidential
  • Assist with operational duties and support team needs

Other Skills and Requirements:

  • Maintain proficiency in bank policies, laws, and regulations, including compliance training
  • Register and maintain registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook 365 and banking software
  • Strong consumer lending skills and product knowledge
  • Ability to generate new relationships via outbound calls and business development
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Willingness to work all hours of operation

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Banking, cash handling, sales, and customer service experience preferred
