Job summary

Butler Community College is seeking a Custodial Technician to help create a safe, welcoming, and high-performing campus. The technician reports to the Lead Custodian and Custodial Supervisor for the cleanliness of facilities, including deep cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, offices, lobbies, and restrooms.

This full-time role includes setting up and tearing down furniture for events and maintaining orderly environments across campus. A generous benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Kansas driver's license.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work split shifts and late hours.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, offices, and high-traffic areas such as lobbies and restrooms.
• Set up and tear down furniture for campus lectures, conferences, and athletic events.
• Maintain general cleanliness and contribute to a safe campus environment.

Job Duties

This isn’t just about cleaning; it’s about being a vital part of a community dedicated to lifelong learning.

The Custodial Technician is responsible to the Lead Custodian and Custodial Supervisor for the cleanliness of the college facilities.

Job duties include: Deep cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, offices, and high-traffic areas like lobbies and restrooms. Setting up and tearing down furniture (chairs, tables, podiums) for campus lectures, conferences, and athletic events. Other duties as assigned.

Required knowledge and skills

• J. Must be able to work overtime and weekends for emergencies or events.

Required experience

Must have practical knowledge of custodial duties and associated equipment and cleaning solvents.

Required educational background

High School diploma or equivalent required.
