Job summary

Fortis Industries is hiring Full Time Custodian for our Ft. Worth, TX contract serving Fritz Lanham, the Federal Courthouse, and the Federal Parking Garage. The role is on-site and reports to the Regional Operations Manager.

Duties include cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting furniture, waste and recycling, vacuuming, setting up rooms, securing buildings, and following safe chemical procedures. Must meet physical requirements and work 35+ hours weekly; union benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform tasks such as moving, carrying and storing items.
• Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, reach, etc. as required for cleaning.
• Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Report to Custodian Leadership and perform assigned duties.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specified procedures and products.
• Dust, polish, and wipe furniture.
• Empty and wash garbage bins and manage recycling when needed.
• Vacuum flooring throughout facilities using upright or wide area vacuums.
• Assist in setting up facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms.
• Operate and maintain power equipment and tools safely.
• Secure buildings and doors when not in use.
• Follow safety procedures for chemical use and hazards.
