Job summary

Fortis Industries is interviewing for Full Time Custodian positions on our Fort Worth contract. This on-site role supports Federal Courthouse facilities, including Fritz Lanham, the Federal Courthouse, and a Federal Parking Garage.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and assisting with event setups while following safety and chemical-use procedures. A high school diploma is required and a 35+ hour work week is expected.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Able to perform tasks requiring lifting and carrying.
• Ability to walk, stand, kneel and reach during cleaning tasks.
• Must be reliable and able to work daily tasks.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Remote Status: On-Site

The Custodian supports Federal Courthouse and reports to the Regional Operations Manager. This position is on-site.

Fortis Industries is interviewing for positions of Full Time Custodian for our contract in Ft. Worth, TX. This posting is for multiple positions on the current contract providing services to the three primary buildings of Fritz Lanham, Federal Courthouse, and Federal Parking Garage.

CUSTODIAN JOB DUTIES

• Reporting to the Custodian Leadership and performing the assigned duties.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products.
• Dust, polish, and wipe furniture.
• Empty and wash garbage bins and deal with recycling procedures when necessary.
• Vacuum flooring throughout facilities using upright or wide area vacuums.
• Help when setting facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms.
• Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to maintain safety.
• Secure buildings and doors when they are not in use.
• Following instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform tasks such as moving, carrying and storing items
• Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, reach, etc. as required for cleaning

Pay

• $19.94/hr PLUS
• $7.85 per hour up to 40 hours of Health and Welfare. (Money that is utilized for benefits)

This is a union position. Pay and benefits are dictated by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
