Job summary

Fortis Industries is hiring Full Time Custodian for our Ft. Worth, TX contract serving Fritz Lanham, the Federal Courthouse, and the Federal Parking Garage. The role is on-site and reports to the Regional Operations Manager.

Duties include cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting furniture, waste and recycling, vacuuming, setting up rooms, securing buildings, and following safe chemical procedures. Must meet physical requirements and work 35+ hours weekly; union benefits apply.

Custodian

The Custodian supports Federal Courthouse and reports to the Regional Operations Manager. This position is on-site.

Fortis Industries is interviewing for positions of Full Time Custodian for our contract in Ft. Worth, TX. This posting is for multiple positions on the current contract providing services to the three primary buildings of Fritz Lanham, Federal Courthouse, and Federal Parking Garage.

CUSTODIAN JOB DUTIES

• Reporting to the Custodian Leadership and performing the assigned duties.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain bathrooms using specific procedures and products.
• Dust, polish, and wipe furniture.
• Empty and wash garbage bins and deal with recycling procedures when necessary.
• Vacuum flooring throughout facilities using upright or wide area vacuums.
• Help when setting facilities for meetings, events, or classrooms.
• Properly use and maintain power equipment and tools to maintain safety.
• Secure buildings and doors when they are not in use.
• Following instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace.

Pay

• $19.94/hr PLUS
• $7.85 per hour up to 40 hours of Health and Welfare. (Money that is utilized for benefits)

This is a union position. Pay and benefits are dictated by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
