Job summary

HealthMark Rehabilitation in College Station, TX seeks a Full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapy services to residents and short-term patients at the Accel at College Station facility. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Texas licensure as a COTA is required; geriatric rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold Texas license/certification for COTA.
• Experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and patients.
• Ability to function in multi-faceted systems and to interact with all levels of staff.
• Meet physical requirements to deliver responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy services in accordance with physician’s orders and accepted professional practices.
• Develop and implement an overall plan of care with goals and frequency.
• Documents observations, patient progress, and changes in condition.
• Completes billing and related documentation on the date of service.
• Maintains rehab gym area with infection prevention practices.
• Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
