Job summary

Whitney Oaks Care Center is seeking a dependable Full-Time Cook to prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, following physician orders and dietary requirements. You will work with the Dietary Services team to support health and well-being.

Previous cooking experience in healthcare preferred; valid Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain upon hire. We offer competitive pay, full-time schedule, and benefits within the PACS network.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living experience preferred.
• Food Handler's Certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and recipes.
• Ensure proper food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, and infection control procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain production records.
• Assist with inventory and proper storage of food and supplies.
• Work collaboratively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and leadership.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests.
