Job summary

East Bay Post Acute in California seeks a dependable Full-Time Cook to manage the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will prepare meals, follow menus, and ensure safety and sanitation to support resident dining experiences.

The role requires at least 1 year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience, ServSafe certification, and the ability to supervise in the supervisor's absence. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for at least 1 year.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen and cooking area.
• Prepare large quantities of meals and follow menus and portion guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures.
• Assist with serving meals and supervise dietary staff in the absence of supervisor.
• Report resident care concerns to the Administrator or Director of Nurses.
