Job summary

Essentia Health at St Josephs Medical Center is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve nutritious foods for patients and customers, following recipes and training requirements. You will assist with cooking, baking, and stocking, while maintaining cleanliness and infection-control practices.

The role requires kitchen experience and completion of Serve Safe Certification within 90 days of hire, with day/evening shifts and weekend/holiday coverage.

Education Qualifications: This position provides high quality appealing and nutritious foods to customers through food service through large and small scale cooking, baking and, basic food preparation, general cleaning and stocking of food services areas. Properly uses and cares for institutional food service equipment. Strictly adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent food contamination. Carefully follows Dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies.

Work Experience

Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, quantity food cooking experience or experience working in an institutional food services department is preferred.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

Certification/Licensure Requirements: Solvay Hospice House Only: Serve Safe Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer
