Job summary

Montgomery Hospice, Inc. is seeking a capable Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The role supports patients with serious illnesses and your empathetic approach will contribute to gentle, compassionate care. Primary responsibilities include following the individualized plan of care, documenting visits, and promptly reporting any changes in condition to the Hospice Nurse.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Nursing Assistant certification is required.
• Hospice and Palliative Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• Two years of practical hospital, nursing home, or home care experience.
• Ability to communicate clinical information clearly to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow the patient’s Plan of Care under RN supervision.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition immediately.
• Complete documentation for each visit as directed.
• Seek additional training to maintain and improve skills.
