Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Kitchen Coordinator for Theodora Family Hotel in Denver to prepare, heat and serve meals from the ANS kitchen. You will ensure safety, quality, and proper portioning while supervising volunteers and tracking meals.

The role requires ability to lift 50 lbs and follow standardized recipes, with ServSafe certification or progression plan. Full-time, Tue-Sat 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, pay range $19.29–$20.00/hr, benefits include vacation, sick time, holidays, and

Qualifications

• Minimum one year related cooking experience.
• Ability to read and write, follow recipes and production sheets.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• ServSafe certification or ability to acquire within 3 months.
• High volume institutional cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares precooked meals from the ANS kitchen, heated to proper temperature.
• Plates and serves lunch and dinner for a high volume of individuals.
• Maintains sanitation and a clean work area per policies.
• Tracks meals served in meal tracking systems.
• Orders food and kitchen supplies weekly from VOA kitchen.
• Directs or assists volunteers as assigned.
• Attends meetings and trainings as required.
