Job summary

Qualifications

• Current CNA or STNA certification valid in the work state.
• CPR certification required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
• Ability to build rapport with residents through a caring demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using safe techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges and orient new residents.
• Support social and recreational activities and provide companionship.
• Maintain clean, infection-controlled living environments.
• Assist with dining services, meal setup, and intake recording.
• Document care and observations accurately per policies.
• Participate in training to maintain CNA verification and geriatric care skills.
