Job summary

Advanced-Health-Care-of-Mes in Mesa, AZ is seeking a dedicated CNA for full-time night shifts (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM). You will provide direct resident care under licensed supervision, assist with activities of daily living, and support mobility, dining, and documentation needs.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with admissions and transfers, promoting independence, and participating in ongoing training to maintain CNA certification and geriatric care expertise.

Qualifications

• Current CNA or STNA certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents under supervision of licensed nursing staff, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques to ensure safety.
• Monitor residents' vital signs and intake/output; report changes to nursing team.
• Assist with admission, transfers, and discharges, orienting new residents to surroundings.
• Support residents' social and recreational activities and provide companionship.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment and ensure infection control standards are met.
• Assist with dining services, including meal setup, feeding assistance, and recording intake.
• Document care provided and observations accurately per facility policies.
• Participate in training to maintain CNA certification and geriatric care skills.
• Assist new CNAs with training and orientation to policies and facility layout.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to resident care planning and goals.
