Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service

• Provides SMART customer service by adhering to Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
• Engages with customers to understand their needs and assists with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
• Expresses genuine appreciation to customers.
• Shares information regarding stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties of Lowe’s programs.
• Coordinates with customers and truck drivers regarding delivery schedules.

In-stock

1. Plans and executes delivery activities, including printing loading tickets and ensuring on-time delivery.
2. Prepares merchandise, builds and bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
3. Inspects products before loading or assisting customers with loading.
4. Verifies invoice items against loaded quantities by checking descriptions, items, and model numbers.

Clean and Safe Stores

1. Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
2. Updates delivery and route status in the system for tracking.
3. Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
4. Maintains vehicle inspections, cleanliness, and repairs, and completes DOT reporting for certification and compliance.
5. Detects security risks such as shoplifting and reports promptly.
6. Maintains store and work area cleanliness and organization through standards like Zone Recovery.
7. Follows safety protocols, conducts safety reviews, and keeps hazards in check.
8. Operates store equipment as required by the specific role and department.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License (for multi-unit CMV) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit CMV).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass MVR screen and obtain necessary licensure or registration.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
• 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading/offloading.
